That RPT-0492-23 ROMA and OGRA Conference Delegations be received as information; That Committee directs staff to submit delegation requests with Provincial Ministers for the 2024 ROMA conference as follows; Ministry of Health (Family health teams, physician recruitment); Ministry of Economic Development,(Support of raw carrot program); Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services,(Support of raw carrot program); Ministry of Seniors, and Accessibility (Support of raw carrot program); Ministry of Education- (need for new schools, inclusion of rural curriculum including farm to table education, promotion of agriculture as a viable career alternative); Ministry of Indigenous Affairs (Discussion regarding the election of two new chiefs and contact protocol; That staff be instructed to schedule a January meeting of the Committee and bring back the list of delegation requests that have been held over until 2024; That staff be instructed to schedule the Government Relations Committee to meet regularly in advance of delegation submissions for ROMA, OGRA and AMO; That $1500 be added to the 2024 Conference budget line of each member of the Government Relations Committee to support the Committees’ delegations to the conferences; and That an amendment to the remuneration by-law (86-22) be prepared and forwarded to Council for approval.
