Whereas throughout consultation with the affected members of the public, there was the expressed desire for unique addresses and street name; and Whereas throughout consultation with the affected members of the public, they expressed that the proposed nomenclature of 10,000 numbering would be confusing with the rest of the numbering on their street; and Whereas having multiple roadways with similar naming (West River St, West River Rd, West River Lane) has the potential to cause confusion for postal services, EMS services, the general public, and more; Therefore be it directed that staff be instructed to pursue the renaming the existing section of Paris Links Rd in question and the extension of Paris Links Road with a unique name as per county guidelines for street nomenclature, as per the option presented by staff to the public and ward 2 Councillors during consultation.
